The choices we make early in life affect how we age. It is important for us to make informed decisions about our physical activities and the way we engage our minds.

How you feel about aging can directly affect how you view yourself aging right now. If you can view aging as a biological process that takes place as our chronological years increase and seize the opportunity to age in a healthy way it is more advantageous. This frame of mind elicits your intrigue to play games like Pickleball and not worry about how you might feel after. Your brain releases a chemical called serotonin which plays a part in your mood, sleep, digestion, and more which are imperative bodily functions that can affect aging.

Here in the 21st century many of us take pride in our hobbies and how we express healthy aging. Pickleball has become one of those hobbies that people of all ages have become fascinated with. Many play for fun with friends at a local park, others join pickleball leagues and play for championships. Pickleball is an excellent way to engage your mind and body and achieve healthy aging. This new sport fad has provided communities of people who may not have otherwise found one another. Community is another part of healthy aging. When you surround yourself with people who can encourage you to be active and have fun; it increases your desire to be healthy and decreases feelings of loneliness.

Our bodies are meant to move. Pickleball supports several different areas of our bodies health through muscle memory, oxygenating our blood, expanding our lung capacity, improving hand-eye-coordination, developing brain synapses and many more microscopic benefits we cannot see.

So pick up a new hobby like pickleball, grab a few friends, and start a new chapter in healthy aging!
